The Drama Team is for actors of all ages interested in ministering through the performing arts. The drama team will perform in skits and video presentations, and will also assist in the development of ideas. Auditions are required.
CHRISTMAS DRAMA: "HAPPY HOLIDAYS...PENDING"
An Original Journey Theatrical Production
Christmas is a special time around Journey, and every year we try to think outside of the box to find new ways to fulfill our mission statement - reaching those who are far from God and growing them up in Christ. This year is no exception. In fact, this year we're embarking on our most ambitious production yet. Instead of having a typical Christmas Eve service, this year Journey is launching an original theatrical production called, "Happy Holidays.... Pending." This will be a 50 minute play with music, with themes we believe will be both humorous and profound.
BEHIND THE SCENES HELP NEEDED: Not only do we need talented actors, but we also need volunteers for set construction, costumes and props, tech crew members, and quite a few stage hands. CREW BREAKDOWN:
STAGE MANAGER - Someone to manage props, organize the crew, help run rehearsals, help with costumes, and generally make the director's life easier. This person will be the right hand man to the director. If you're organized and interested in helping launch an original theatrical production, this job is for you.
STAGE HANDS - We need 5 to 7 people to help move set pieces and props between scenes during the production. Must be able to lift heavy objects and move things in the dark. Must also be available for all shows on Christmas Eve and at least two rehearsals prior, including the dress rehearsal on Dec. 23rd.
