How can I serve at Journey?
Great question! Think about what you like to do, how God has gifted you to serve His Church, and when you are available to serve and contact Leslie McDaniel at (406) 599-6254 or leslie@journeyweb.net. Even if you can't answer those questions, but you just want to help out, get in touch anyway! We take your desire to serve very seriously and pledge to you that one of our staff members or one of our Ministry Directors will be in touch with you to connect you with a serving opportunity that fits you. If you realize that what you are signed up to do isn't working, we'll help you find a place that does.
At Journey Church you will find opportunities to serve your Church, the Community and the World. Below are some specific ways you can serve your church.
The Greeters are the team of folks who welcome people at the door at every worship service. To be a Greeter, please call the Journey office at 922-0190.
Every weekend we offer coffee and lemonade to our guests at Journey Church . Please call Janice Taylor at 586-7499 to find out how you can help.
Join the team as a teacher, helper, baby snuggler; Help with registration, set-up, or tear down; Supervise the halls during a service, bake cookies, gather supplies; Lead Kid's worship, play drums, write skits.... To learn more about serving in this department, click here.
The Meal Ministry team provides meals for families of Journey Church during times of trial or adjustment such as births, illness, surgery, death. Please call Rachelle Morton at 587-6393 to find out more.
This team directs traffic before the worship services and assists cars in finding a parking spot. Contact Lance Frank at 599-4242.
We are a portable church so we work together every Saturday to transform a gym into a sanctuary for worship service and back to a gym on Sunday. Please call Sam Bennett at 539-5615 for more information.
The Tech Team is for people who are passionate about ministering through media and are looking to work on the “other side of the camera". If you have production skills (lighting, camera operating, editing, etc.), are good with computer graphics and other technical necessities, or if you want to learn these skills, please contact Brandon Edwards at 922.0190 or brandon@journeyweb.net. Both skilled and unskilled folks are welcome.
Ushers help people find a seat, take the offering, pass out communion, and hand out the Weekly at the end of the service. To be an Usher, please call Rob Ruebusch at 570-4999.
The welcome team makes a home visit to deliver a gift bag to Journey visitors. To help deliver bags, please contact Erin Vaughn at 570-2602.
