9-13-18 Volunteers Needed: Kids Night Out is a respite event for adoptive and foster families sponsored by FACES and The Sacred Portion Children’s Outreach. It is offered on a quarterly basis, held on a Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Parents can drop off their children at The Commons, 1794 Baxter Lane East for an evening of fun while they take some time for themselves to relax, have a date with their spouse, or just enjoy quiet time at home. The children are served pizza and snacks, play games, do crafts and watch a movie towards the end of the evening. The volunteers who help with Kids Night Out are a mix of mature adults and college youth and have undergone background screening prior to volunteering. Parents and children alike look forward to this event which is offered at no cost to families.
We are in need of volunteers to help with Kids Night Out on the following dates: September 28, December 7, February 8 and April 26. If you are interested in this opportunity to wrap around adoptive and foster families with an act of service, please Jan Druckenmiller or Lorene Schmit at 406-586-5773 for additional information and the process for getting a back ground check.
9-6-18 Looking for housing: I am a graduate student finishing my Masters. I have one year left. My daughter and I have been living with an 87 yr. old gentlemen assisting with yard work and cooking. Due to some sudden unexpected changes, he sold his house and we need to move immediately. Previously we did some house sitting for several families including a military family stationed overseas and seasonal for a family that works out of the state.
I am interested in helping someone who desires to stay in their home but who needs some assistance or house sitting in the Bozeman area so I can finish my degree.
References are available for house sitting, property management and cooking abilities. I would like to meet and interview before making a decision to be sure it is a good mutual fit. If you know of anyone please contact me immediately as we will need to move by Monday Sept. 10, 2018. My phone number is 406-560-7332. Thank you! AmyLyn Kellogg
